Horizon Europe Annual Conference
On 6 May 2026, the Horizon Europe Annual Conference was held in Zagreb, focusing on current developments and the future of the European Research Area.
The conference covered topics of particular relevance to the research and innovation community, including research and technology infrastructures, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), the European Research Council (ERC), the European Innovation Council (EIC), as well as opportunities for funding and international cooperation under the Horizon Europe program.
Particular emphasis was placed on the role of research infrastructures in advancing science and technology, opportunities for participation in European programs, and strengthening the links between research, innovation, and industry.
Participation in the conference was particularly relevant to the activities of the DIGIT project, given its focus on developing and professionalizing the research infrastructure of the University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine, strengthening cooperation with industry, and increasing the use of research capacities and the uptake of research results.
