ESIL Croatia Deep Tech Masterclass at the University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine

On 15 April 2026, the University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine hosted an EESIL Croatia Deep Tech Masterclass focused on supporting researchers and deep-tech teams in taking their innovations from the laboratory towards the market.

Designed for STEM students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and deep-tech teams (TRL 1–6), the Masterclass provided practical insights into innovation development, market application, impact and exploitation planning, intellectual property, and engagement with the innovation ecosystem. Selected participants also had the opportunity to pitch their projects to experienced Business Angels.

Researchers from the University of Zagreb School of Dental Medicine involved in the DIGIT project also participated in the event. The Masterclass provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, connect with relevant stakeholders, and present the DIGIT project, its objectives and potential. The event was particularly relevant to the DIGIT project's goal of strengthening the links between science, innovation, and industry and facilitating the transfer of research results towards market application.
